Sanskirt: Ustrasana or Ushtrasana (sounds like 00-straw-sah-nah) उष्ट्रासन
The purpose of this pose is to open up your heart and is a back bend. You don’t have to reach your hands all the way back to your heels in order to get this pose. Hands at your ‘back pants pockets’ with gaze backward is the full expression of the pose.
Be aware that coming up quickly from this pose often causes dizziness or makes you feel light headed, so return slowly.
