Seriously you can’t taste the greens in here! This smoothie is YUMMY! Not much to say other than, it is strawberry shortcake deliciousness! Coconut butter makes this nice and creamy & cakey. BUT, if you don’t have coconut butter, you can use almond butter, and just blend everything all at the same time. The coconut butter will get chunky if you mix it with cold stuff by itself. If you blend it with the almond milk, banana & greens first, it won’t do that.
Makes 1 amazing smoothie!
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
1.5 TBS coconut butter
1/2 tsp vanilla stevia (or 1 TBS favorite sweetener)
1 cup kale/chard/spinach (or preferred greens)
<blend until smooth> now add below ingredients
1 1/4 cup frozen strawberries
1/2-1 scoop favorite vanilla protein powder (I used Vega Viva Vanilla I LOVE it! 80 cal for 15g protein & no soy!)
1 tsp maca powder (optional, but encouraged)
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 cup ice
